1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Pet Sitter Report (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) handles information when you use the app. We designed the app to keep visit-report content on your device. We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not ask for, and we do not operate a service that receives, the following from you in the ordinary use of the app:
- Your real name, email address, postal address, or phone number
- The text of your visit reports, checklist answers, or notes
- Pet parent or pet names that you enter in the app
- Your precise location or contacts from your device
- Photos, videos, or files stored on your device
We do not use the app to build a profile that identifies you as an individual.
3. Information stored on your device
Report drafts, generated messages, visit history, saved pet parent names, app settings, and encrypted backup files you create are stored locally on your device unless you choose to share content through another app (for example, a messaging app). You control that sharing. We are not a party to messages you send outside the app.
4. Limited information we may process
To operate certain app features, we may process small amounts of information that are not intended to identify you personally:
- Anonymous device identifier. A random identifier generated on your device, used to support optional features such as surveys or trial access. It is not your name and is not linked to an account you create in the app.
- Trial and access status. When your free trial started, whether you completed an optional survey for extra trial days, and whether a paid plan is active on this device — used to apply plan limits. We do not receive your visit-report content through billing.
- Optional survey responses. If you choose to complete an in-app survey, your answers and any comments you provide may be transmitted and stored. Do not include names, addresses, or other information that could identify you or a third party unless you choose to.
- Feedback you send. If you use Settings → Send feedback, the text you write and an anonymous device identifier may be stored on our systems so we can read and investigate reports. We do not require your email address for this.
- Terms acceptance record. That you accepted a given version of our Terms, and when, if the app records that locally or on our systems.
5. App stores and services you choose to use
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment and subscription management are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive your payment card details.
If you share a report through WhatsApp or another app, that service’s policies apply. We do not control how those services handle your data.
6. Feedback
If you send feedback from the app (Settings → Send feedback), you choose what to write. Please do not include pet owners’ personal details unless necessary. We may associate feedback with an anonymous device identifier solely to investigate issues. We do not guarantee a response; updates may appear in the app’s News section instead.
7. Your choices
You may delete report history and saved names in the app. Uninstalling the app removes local data unless you have exported a backup file elsewhere. You may decline optional surveys.
8. Retention and security
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Any limited information we process is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. We use reasonable measures to protect information we process, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
The app is intended for adults who provide pet-care services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy, subject to any additional acceptance steps we present in the app for material changes.
11. Contact
Privacy and support questions: use Settings → Send feedback in the app. We read messages when we can but do not guarantee a reply. Updates may appear in News instead of a direct reply.
